Alvin Caballero, CPA

Founder and Managing Member

From his humble beginnings in Nueva Ecija, Philippines, Alvin migrated to the United States to pursue his dream of making a living in the land of unlimited opportunities.

Alvin started his accounting career before graduating college. As a financially struggling student, he served as the bookkeeper and tax preparer for a small business while pursuing his accounting degree. He also tutored accounting students and served as financial consultant for business students on their feasibility studies. Alvin graduated Magna Cum Laude and Class Valedictorian from his Alma Mater, the Polytechnic University of the Philippines. Alvin is also a recipient of Elijah Watt Sells award for his outstanding performance on the U.S. Uniform CPA Examinations.

Alvin has over 10 years of experience in public accounting and industry practice, serving clients in different industries (not for profit, oil and gas, public utility, technology, manufacturing and insurance). Alvin has extensive experience leading the audits of businesses and organizations receiving funding from federal, state and local governments. His experience includes diverse types of audits performed under Government Auditing Standards such as financial statement, compliance and program-specific audits.

Alvin was previously an audit manager at Deloitte & Touche LLP, one of the Big 4 audit firms, where he managed the audits of multiple public and private companies. He also served as assistant engagement quality control reviewer on the audit of a global car manufacturer. In addition to client service, Alvin facilitated firm trainings (local and national) and actively participated in recruitment activities such as the Deloitte National Leadership Conference. Alvin started his career in public accounting as an audit associate at Ernst & Young – Philippines.

In addition to his public accounting experience, he previously served as the lead accountant for a manufacturing company. In that role, he supervised the preparation of monthly financial statements, directed the design and implementation of internal control policies and procedures, and coordinated with the financial auditors.

Alvin volunteers as the auditor for a not for profit organization, which provides scholarship grants to indigent college students in the Philippines.
